The Philadelphia Chapter was established in 2004 by Sally and Steve Woolf, and is currently led by Volunteer Regional Directors Dan and Caren Jones. Philadelphia is the leading fundraising Chapter. The Chapter hosts a signature Raise a Glass for a Cure event, theme dinners, happy hours and Phillies baseball outings.
In 2017, the Philadelphia Chapter will be asking our Chapter donors, sponsors, partners and friends to Raise A Glass For A Cure by participating in a special fundraising campaign. In lieu of the signature gala event, we are hosting a non-traditional outreach to raise the much needed funds that support the cutting-edge research at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. Raise A Glass For A Cure has raised more than $1 million since its inception. We hope to continue this strong tradition of fundraising so that we might help reach the goal of finding a cure for paralysis.
In an effort to enhance the research efforts of the scientists at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, The Buoniconti Fund established volunteer Chapters in cities throughout the country. These Chapters are an important element to reaching The Miami Project’s goal — a cure for paralysis.
