The Miami Chapter was established in 1992, and is currently led by Volunteer Regional Director Erika Forbes.
This was the first volunteer Chapter to grassroots efforts of raising funds and awareness for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. The Chapter has hosted many events including wine tastings, happy hours, walk & roll a thon, Corks & Forks reception and the Block Party.
In an effort to enhance the research efforts of the scientists at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, The Buoniconti Fund established volunteer Chapters in cities throughout the country. These Chapters are an important element to reaching The Miami Project’s goal — a cure for paralysis.

We have had to change our plans due to COVID-19 for the 9th Annual Woody Golf Classic that was originally set for Thursday April 23rd!
For those who still support our fundraising efforts, instead of golfing on April 23rd, we’ll be sending out a care package with our signature polos, golf balls, tees, sponsor booklet and a gift certificate to practice safely golf at your leisure. We will recognize our supporters via a series of dedicated emails and are still committed to our core mission.
Both The Woody Foundation and The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis have been hard at work making a difference in the lives of those living with paralysis. The Golf Classic has been able to raise over $450,000 in the past eight years due to the amazing support of companies and organizations like yours and we truly appreciate your gifts. The Woody Foundation has been working hard to improve our Woody Pack Program with SMART home items while our friends at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis are hard at work finding a cure so that Woody and Marc will be able to walk alongside us one day soon.
