On Saturday, February 10, 2018, researchers from The Miami Project hosted an exhibit on spinal cord injury at The 2018 Miami Brain Fair, in partnership with the Miami –Dade STEAM Expo. Students of all ages assembled candy models of spinal cords and learned about spinal cord anatomy and injury. Thank you to The Miami Project Education team (Danielle Cilien, Maria Chagoyen, Dr. Katie Gant) and medical students from the neurosurgery interest group (Anelia Kassi, Justin Achua, and David Valdivia) who did a great job interacting with the kids and inspiring future neuroscientists!
