Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center Receives Accolades

Christine E. Lynn

(August – 2026) – The Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial was named the number 1 rehabilitation hospital in Florida and South Florida by U.S. News & World Report in its 2026–2027 Best Hospitals rankings.  The Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project was also ranked number 15 in the entire nation.

This extraordinary recognition is a testament, first and foremost, to the visionary generosity of Christine E. Lynn, whose transformative lead gift brought this world-class facility to life. It also reflects the unwavering commitment of the many doctors, therapists, researchers, donors and supporters whose belief in the center’s mission and vision made this remarkable achievement possible.

A National Recognition Worth Celebrating

The Lynn Rehabilitation Center’s rise in the national rankings is truly remarkable if you think about the time frame of this trajectory. In the few short years since it opened, the Lynn Rehabilitation Center has climbed from number 45 to number 15 in the country, and number 1 in Florida, reflecting the strength of its clinical care, research integration, patient outcomes, and commitment to helping people reclaim their lives after traumatic injury, illness, or complex medical conditions.

This progress is a testament to the extraordinary partnership among The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, UHealth, Jackson Health System, and the University of Miami’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Most importantly, it reflects the impact of a community of supporters who invested in a bold idea: to create a world-class rehabilitation facility where discovery, innovation, and compassionate care come together every day.

Your Generosity Helped Build This Moment

When the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center opened, it represented far more than a new building. It represented hope, determination, and a shared commitment to improving the lives of people living with paralysis, traumatic brain injury, cancer-related impairment, and other complex conditions.

Because of generous support from philanthropic leaders, community champions, and public partners, patients and families now have access to an exceptional 250,000-square-foot rehabilitation center. The facility includes 80 inpatient beds, specialized therapy gyms, advanced rehabilitation technologies, transitional living spaces, and patient- and family-centered areas designed to promote healing, independence, and dignity.

Every therapy gym, research collaboration space, patient room, technology platform, and family-centered area reflects the belief that people facing life-changing injuries deserve access to the very best rehabilitation care available anywhere.

A Shared Achievement

This recognition affirms what so many of you understood from the beginning: that bringing world-class clinicians, researchers, therapists, nurses, patients, and families together under one roof would create something truly special. The Lynn Rehabilitation Center is not only a place of care, it is a place of healing, progress, and proven results.
