A two-time NBA Champion, NCAA Champion and member of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, Shane Battier has distinguished himself not only through his accomplishments on the court, but through his longstanding commitment to philanthropy.

Through the Battier Take Charge Foundation, Shane has helped provide mentoring, scholarships, networking and leadership development opportunities to underserved young people of great potential.

On October 5, we are honored to present Shane with The Buoniconti Fund Award at the 41st Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner in recognition of his philanthropic leadership and dedication to creating meaningful opportunities for others.

Meet our 2026 Great Sports Legend: John Randle 🏈🏆

Pro Football Hall of Famer. Seven-time Pro Bowler. Six-time First-Team All-Pro.

From entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent to becoming one of the most dominant defensive tackles in league history, John Randle built a remarkable 14-season career with the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks. He recorded 137.5 career sacks, posted eight consecutive double-digit sack seasons, led the NFL with 15.5 sacks in 1997, and earned a place on the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1990s.

On October 5, we’ll honor John and an extraordinary class of sports icons at the 41st Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner.
