Suzie Sayfie is Executive Director of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, the most comprehensive spinal cord injury research center in the world, and a Center of Excellence at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She has spent her life in service to her community. Devoted wife of Eugene J. Sayfie, M.D., loving mother of Stephanie, Nicole, Lisa, and Amy, and grandmother of 9, Suzie’s good works have been recognized and honored over the years. For over forty years, her unwavering leadership and support of health organizations, hospitals, the arts, her children’s schools, and her parish church, has been a most valuable asset to the people of greater Miami.

Suzie’s steadfast involvement with The Eugene J. Sayfie Pavilion for Excellence in Patient Care, The Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project To Cure Paralysis, Jackson Health Systems, University of Miami Hospital, the American Cancer Society, Young Patronesses of the Opera (President), March of Dimes, the Miami Heart Institute and the American Heart Association, the Opera Guild, St. Jude, Project Newborn (Life Member), Mount Sinai Hospital, Rape Center Treatment (Board), and the Debutante Committee (Chairman) has impacted the lives of many individuals. Her involvement with The Miami Project began when she worked as a fundraiser and Patient Liaison at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Neurological Surgery.

Suzie went on to chair several large fundraising events for The Miami Project To Cure Paralysis, and subsequently became the Director of Development, and of the Capital Campaign for the Lois Pope LIFE Center. She has been Executive Director of The Miami Project since 1995.
