The Healing Power of Hope
As a family deals with the devastating reality of a spinal cord injury, they are hungry for information. Why doesn't the spinal cord heal like a broken bone? Can any functions be restored with therapy? What kinds of health problems will we see if he stays on the ventilator? What can be done about the pain she's suffering? How can we be part of the research underway at The Miami Project?
At the entrance to The Miami Project's Family and Education Center stands the Tree of Hope. This bronze sculpture of memory and honor recognizes the generosity of donors to an annual giving campaign that will raise more than $300,000 for research. With a gift of $100 to $35,000, your name - or the name of someone you would like to honor - will be engraved on the Tree of Hope.
