In an effort to enhance the research efforts of the scientists at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, The Buoniconti Fund established volunteer Chapters in 1992. These Chapters are a vital element to reaching The Miami Project’s goal -- a cure for paralysis.
Dedicated volunteers, many of whom are spinal cord injured (SCI), have a family member or close friend afflicted by SCI, draw upon their individual communities and resources to create greater awareness and raise funds on a grassroots level. We thank you for your hard work and loyalty! It doesn’t matter how small the gift or activity, the outcome is measured with gratitude and perseverance.

The Chapters raise awareness and funds through various events and campaigns within their communities, some featuring a local or regional theme. Chapter fundraisers have included Wine Tasting, Poker and Casino Night, Comedy Night, Crabfeast, Game Night with football or baseball, Happy Hour, Golf Tournament, Reverse Raffle, Cocktail Reception, Gala Dinner, Silent & Live Auction, Marathon and more.
