Stephanie Sayfie AagaardStephanie Sayfie Aagaard keeps going and going and going! She is dedicated to work at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and The Buoniconti Fund, the world’s  most comprehensive spinal cord injury research center based at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. When she’s not flying in 30 celebrities for her next fundraising event, Steph is working on the next cause-related marketing campaign to garner awareness and raise funds for the organization.

 

A graduate of Boston College and a native of Miami, Steph is very involved in the pulse of the community. She covers the social, celebrity, sports and charity scene in South Florida for her “Steph Sez” column every Sunday in The Miami Herald’s Tropical Life section. She has been involved in numerous charities and community programs over the years such as Miami Heart Research Institute’s Miami Heartthrobs, The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Breast Cancer Awareness Week, The Miami Heat Read to Achieve Team, Cathedral of St. George Campaign Fund, Jackson Memorial Mets, Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Designer’s Gala, Miami City Ballet and Best Buddies. Steph is also a Founding mentor with the Women of Tomorrow program. She has been honored as American Cancer Society’s Ten Best Dressed, the United Foundation for Aids’ “Those Who Make A Difference” Award, The Project: New Born Media Award, a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Community Leader Award, a March of Dimes Leading Lady and with her husband a Woman’s Cancer League Moet Couple to name a few. She also serves as the emcee to numerous charitable organizations.

 

In addition to her passion with The Miami Project and The Buoniconti Fund where she has dedicated her time for eight years, Steph is the proud mother of two boys, Anders and Austin and wife to Morten Aagaard.
